It´s a 2023 film produced by Disney and Pixar. The film is directed by Denise Ream and written by Brenda Hsueh. Ember is a girl of fire, whose family came to live on an island where various beings made of different elements coexist in peace. Except for those who discriminate against the fire element because they consider them dangerous. Elemental was released in USA on June 16, 2023. The film was raised more than 400 millon dollars, with 148 millon dollars only from USA and canada. He received 6 nominations: the most important are at oscar 2024 and globos de oro 2024. 

This is the story of "Fire and Water", where two opposite elements fall in love despite the differences and prejudices that exist between them. Bernie and Sinder, a couple of immigrants from the Land of Fire, arrive in an elemental city inhabited by water, air and land. Despite initial rejection by the other elements, Bernie and Sinder build their home and business, ¨La Fogata¨. The story takes place in an environment where themes such as discrimination, intolerance and temper control are explored.

Ember, Bernie and Sinder's daughter, struggles to control her temper, especially when dealing with difficult customers, which leads her to cause trouble at the store. However, through her relationship with Wade, a water being, Ember learns to control her temper and see the world from a more compassionate and empathetic perspective. The relationship between Ember and Wade represents overcoming differences and finding harmony between opposing elements.

It´s a beautiful love story where we can find hope in a societal problema, a couple united without giving up until they achieve their goal: to be together no matter the environment. With the help of symbols, which are the elements, they give us the reference of differences that we find daily, that society tells us is good and bad for us. It is a movie with a great message, so we recommend going to see it with the family.
